IT'S NEVER TOO LATE...
TO RELAX
Take time to pause.
Forget the coffee and the smokes.
Don't eat lunch at your desk.
Take a walk in the park.
Browse in a bookstore.
Chill in a library.
Go for a run,or a swim.
Have a laugh with friends.
Break the endless cycle.

BY THE WATER'S EDGE
I stopped at the water's edge after a long walk on the beach. I followed my own advice.I stood there in place and became mindful.
I became aware of the sweat glisteningbrightly as it dripped off my body. I followed along as these tiny drops merged with the big sea waters. I watched the white bubbles kiss the shore at different points in different ways. I listened to the greeting of the sounds of the waves announcing their arrival. I observed the different shades of blue and green creating a peacful picture. I saw a Pelican swooping from on high to precisely hit a target and hungrily eat its catch. I became aware of the wet sand beneath my toes as I twisted them about. I noticed seashells randomly distributed beneath the white bubbles and blueish green waters.
I then spontaneously stretched my arms out as wide as they could go while observing the wispy white clouds criss-crossing through a pale blue sky.
Then I very calmly walked back.

A SIMPLE FLOWER POWER
We welcome Mimi Gegg as our Director of the Tranquility Center. She brings much to the table of relaxation training including flowers. See williampenzer.com for a video of our Tranquility Center. Mimi can help you learn about meditation, guided imagery, creating safe spaces, biofeedback, heart math and much more.
This week she brought in floweres and put them in a vase atop our water cooler with a sign simply saying, "take one." I did and everytime I look at it I think peace, tranquility and calm. It symbolizes what we all search for and struggle to locate. Funny enough, they are all around us,often in the simplest of ways.
Many who have taken a flower have commented how it brightened their day. Sometimes it takes a village. Other times it takes as little as a single flower. Perhaps the flower children of the 60's were onto something. I am pleased we are bringing that energy back into our center.
Contact Mimi at 954 696 1248. Maybe she will give you a flower and a whole lot more tranquility.

THIS IS NO TIME TO HAVE NO TIME!
When I ask people if they are exercising, reading my blog or any blog, doing fun things, spending quality family time, attending religious services, etc. their answer tends to be the same. “I have no time for that,” they say sounding like a chorus of the overwhelmed.
Now is the time to make time to counterbalance stress and tensions in as many ways as possible. Positive outcomes don’t just magically appear. They come from planting seeds, watering them, organically fertilizing the small buds that begin to grow and continuing to nurture them into beanstalks upon which you can climb out of the holes into which you have fallen.
I strongly encourage you to make and take a small but meaningful slice of time just for yourself. In the long run these short rewards pay dividends and can make a big difference.
Invest 60 or so seconds to return to this blog every day. Go back and read the ones you missed in less than 15 minutes time. Therapy can be as long as a 60 minute intensive and expensive session or as short as a single sentence, free of charge, that hits home for you.
Please be kind to you and give yourself a prescription and permission for relaxation and recreation. You deserve that much—I guarantee it!
